I had the opportunity to attend a Ford Electrification event and got a sneak peek at the new Ford E-Transit van. The first model I showcase is a very early pre-production model Cutaway Electric Van. This allows the vehicle to be customized with an after-market bed that best fits the consumer. This van features a rotary dial as a safety feature along with a 12inch touch screen and the necessary dedicated buttons. Ford took us for a test drive where I was pleased with the in-vehicle coaching which is very beneficial for business owners who will be allowing employees to drive the van. I also got to compare the Cutaway E-transit to the E-transit with a Ford body. Ford has done a great job at allowing fleet management by providing valuable information that can be downloaded as an Excel spreadsheet. Overall, I was very impressed with these vans and am excited to see more of Ford's electric vehicles.
