One of the best things about having awesome Filipino friends who are great at cooking? When you find an island paradise in Tawi-Tawi, they can take the fresh fish you bought at the market, and turn it into a delicious meal!! Super thankful to my friends for this awesome afternoon!

We left the main island of Simunul and ended up crossing five minutes to a smaller island called Sangay Siapo. This island is paradise! Clean water, white sand, coconut trees... during high tide the turquoise blue water stretches out forever... and low tide brings a golden glow, as the sand gently washes around beneath the ocean surface.

Jandee and the guys cooked some amazing local fish, and we served it all up local style... yup, nothing better than some local Filipino eating on an island!

Tawi-Tawi is home to many local paradise islands...
