Done Right Services is a Basement Waterproofing and Foundation repair company, However we do not install Sump pumps, Perimeter drains or french drains. We waterproof basements by filling and sealing all the cracks and joints within the foundation and inside the basement, then applying our highly flexable liquid polymer to the concrete walls and concrete floor. Creating a completely dry, clean mold free environment. Eliminating all the musty odors. Without the use of sump pumps and perimeter drains.

To properly seal and waterproof a basement you first have to know how a concrete foundation is constructed. Knowing this makes waterproofing and repairing a concrete foundation easy.
There are only a few areas in a concrete foundation where water can actually penetrate causing a wet basement, most common are cracks in the concrete foundation and concrete floor, little circles in the foundation wall know as form ties, snap ties or tie pins. Where the foundation wall and concrete floor meet, known as the cove joint.
Anytime there is a penetration in the concrete foundation like a gas or water line, sewer or septic pipe even where the support columns sit these are all areas where water can enter a basement.

Many will say you can't seal a concrete foundation, however these are contractors trying to sell you on other options of their basement waterproofing methods. their scare tactics of the foundation will collapse, shift bow into the basement, or the hydrostatic water pressure will heave your entire house. none of this is true. in most basements the hydrostatic water pressure is about 3 lb. per square foot when the foundation is completely submerge in water. Our waterproof sealing system can handle 15 lb per square foot and also works well with sump pumps and drains. If your house already has a sump pump or drainage system thats ok, we will leave in place. Waterproofing a basement or foundation by method of sealing is achievable that is if you're using the right products and know the right steps to preparing the concrete floor and concrete walls.
IF YOU FAIL TO PREPARE, PREPARE TO FAIL!
This type of project is best left to the professionals!
In may cases homes with sump pumps and perimeter drains can still remain a wet basement not flooding but wet, damp musty with tons of mold. Concrete is like a sponge, it absorbs water from the damp ground causing mold and effloresence to grow in the basement, major signs of a damp basement. sump pumps and perimeter
Drains cannot prevent this from happening, you could use a dehumidifier buy wouldn't you want to stop the water at the source ?
With growing families may homeowners look to the basement for additional living space, a finished basement is a great way to add more square footage to your home, but keep in mind basements are damp, covered in mold. Professionally sealing you basement is a great way to protect your additional living space. for more information check us out at www.donerightservices.net
