How to make a diamond ring lamp video. In this video I make a diamond ring from Ash wood.
There is a lot of router work in this one, I used it to cut a channel to hide the flex and also to cut the shape of the ring. Using the router ensured the ring was perfectly circular and and it also left a fairly clean edge so there was less sanding to do.
I am reasonably happy at how it turned. I had started making it before I had the diamond shaped bulb so some of the scaling and the setting is a little off. If I was to do it again I would either have the bulb lower or the setting part higher to encircle the bulb better.
