Paul Bieker is a Seattle Naval Architect who has worked on foiling surfboards, Moth class sailors, skiffs, America's Cup yachts, and ferry boats. For example, he was the designer of the hydrofoil-assist-catamaran-personel-ferry (HYSUCAT) home ported in Seattle. He gives the insider's story on hydrodynamics and structural materials.
