WATCH: Adrienne Elise Tarver (CFA'07), an interdisciplinary artist and BU School of Visual Arts alum, walks us through her journey from studying to be a painter to becoming an influential artist in today's contemporary art scene. Tarver's work has been shown across the world from LA to the Azores, her paintings and other works bring viewers together from all different walks of life. Tarver has also taught across the world including the University of New South Wales in Sydney, AU, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and currently, Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. 🌟 🎨

"You can't rely on somebody else to motivate you to make your work, you need to do it," she says. "That's for the painting you're making, the song you're making, or the career you're making. Nobody else is going to prioritize it for you, you need to prioritize it for yourself."
