Burton was nominated for Best Actor in 1978 for his terrific performance as Dr. Dysart in Equus but the Academy seemed to feel that Richard Dreyfus in "Goodbye Girl" was the better performance. RUBBISH, Burton was ROBBED. The fact that Burton was nominated 8 times for an Oscar and NEVER won demonstrates just how biased the Academy really is!
