CHICAGO SPF, Chicago’s largest indoor pickleball facility is 42,000 square-foot pickleball, dining and entertainment concept with state-of-the-art amenities, new dining options and robust family programming, located at 2121 N. Clybourn Ave. Court reservations are available at www.playspf.com.

Designed to provide a tropical getaway in the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, SPF will serve as a year-round recreation, entertainment and community hub. The first phase will feature eight dedicated indoor pickleball courts with instant replay technology, a grab-and-go food and coffee bar and guest amenities including spacious locker rooms complete with saunas and showers.

“Whether you’re a seasoned pickleball player, you’re picking up a paddle for the first time or you’re just in to cheer on your friends and family, everyone is welcome,” said Co-Founder Rich Green. “Our goal is to lean into our three pillars – Social, Pickleball, Fun – and provide a space for people to gather and join the fun year-round.”

With memberships available now, pickleball enthusiasts can take advantage of Club SPF, a membership program providing exclusive access to a number of amenities including early access to court reservations, access to the locker rooms with showers and saunas, free paddle and ball rental, monthly members-only programming and events and more.

SPF will also host the Cucumber Club for children ages 3 through 11, including tennis and pickleball camps, lessons, special events and more. Designed for kids to develop their skills through lessons and clinics for each age group while providing a new way to stay active, Cucumber Club’s goal is to engage every child on the court and keep them moving with a progressive approach to fundamental athletic skills. Cucumber Club classes are available for registration now. The Cucumber Club is sponsored by Wilson Sporting Goods.

Bringing new food options to the neighborhood, SPF has partnered with a variety of Chicago-favorite chefs and restauranteurs, including Honey Butter Fried Chicken founders, Josh Kulp and Christine Cikowski, along with former Galit chef de cuisine, Tom Carlin. In addition, SPF’s coffee bar features Kikwetu Coffee, a family-owned Chicago-based coffee brand born in Kenya. SPF’s first phase includes a full-service coffee bar complete with all-day café items.

SPF is proud to also partner with several local companies focused on the growth of pickleball in Chicago and beyond. Toss & Spin, founded by Chris Clark, has designed a new, holistic program centered on lessons and clinics to encourage the development of beginner and advanced players alike, while ProXR Pickleball will bring its innovation in paddle technology to SPF to further enhance the game experience.

SPF’s second phase is slated to open this summer, including expanded food and beverage options, an additional pickleball court, a turf field for games and programming and much more. For more information, please visit www.playspf.com and sign up for the SPF newsletter.
