In his TEDxChapmanU talk, Henrik asks "What if?" and challenges the audience to take risks to keep their passions alive. He encourages everyone to work toward proving the "doubters" wrong and to believe in extraordinary ideas. He describes the setbacks he faced in designing a vehicle that was different than the rest, and walks us through his thought process and vision along the way.

Henrik Fisker, a world-renowned designer in the field of luxury cars, is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of Fisker Automotive. After a fulfilling career, which included both design and executive positions at BMW, Ford, and Aston Martin, Henrik decided to partner with Bernhard Koehler and forge a new and radical perspective on what is possible in the automotive world. In 2007, they founded Fisker Automotive, a pure automobile manufacturer which introduced the world's first ever premium hybrid electric vehicle, the Fisker Karma. Henrik began his career in Germany at BMW's advanced design studio, BMW Technik GmbH, upon graduating from The Art Center College of Design in Switzerland. A few of his automotive design legacies include the Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Shelby GR1, BMW Z07 and Z8 roadster.

About TEDx:

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
