Abigail is the latest bloody vampire film to be released. While the performance from Alisha Weir as the titular villain was astonishing and the violence that we got was gleefully over the top, I felt like the writing of the characters was misguided, and that the marketing really hindered the overall viewing experience.

All my ratings are based on a 'thumbs up/thumbs down' list. Here they are below.

Thumbs down:
1: F*****g Terrible (Really bad)
2: Snoozefest (Dull, uninteresting, unmemorable)

Thumbs half up/down:
3: Know who you are (It may only appeal to a small portion of the audience)
4: With a little help from some 'friends' (Either watch with some friends.... or watch drunk)

Thumbs Up:
5: Worth a watch (Check it out on streaming)
6: Buy it (Watch in the cinema, or purchase the physical release)
7: Top Notch (As good as it gets)
