I got my hands on a Google Pixel 5! This is the newest phone from Google and a direct competitor of the iPhone. This is going to be interesting because I have very little experience with Android. The last time I’ve tried Android was 8 years ago when it was REALLY laggy. iPhone was so much better than Android back then.

In this video, I will be unboxing the Pixel 5 and giving you my first impressions. One notable difference between iPhone and Pixel 5 is the notch. iPhones still have that huge notch at the top whereas the Pixel has no such notch. But it still has a small black circle on the top left hand corner for the camera. Personally, I think Google has a better design here. The notch needs to be there though for FaceID so I don’t think Apple can ever get rid of it.

Overall, I’m pretty impressed with the smoothness of Android. It was beyond my expectations. I think it is almost as smooth as iPhones. Competition is tough these days and Android definitely caught up. If Apple messes up, Google will end up eating their lunch!
