We get a preview of the forthcoming new electric car from Kia, the EV6 is here and seen in person. We grab a go-pro for an in-depth viewing, prod and poke.
It shares its platform with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 but looks very different indeed. Both interesting cars though, which do you prefer?

Finished in Matt Steel Grey paintwork we think it does look fabulous. The rear is a talking point but I like it more than I thought I would. Interior space and finish is great, although the boot is a little smaller than I expected.

One of the key features I remember from the presentation is a safety system to prevent the rear doors from being opened if there is a passing vehicle or cyclist.
800 volt charging for fast recharging 10-80% in 18 minutes.
Tow bar is an option.
Deliveries due to start in September.
