There are only a couple of less-than-safe parts about bicycling on Colorado Blvd. The first one is when you're bombing down toward Figueroa and you want to stay on Colorado, but most people veer to the right to take the shortcut to the Fig. So you can either stay on the right and hope no one cuts in front of you (good luck), or you can get between the two lanes and go straight, and try real hard to cut between the moving cars and get over to the right once you get past the shortcut. I usually choose the latter. Then there's the lane that takes you to the cool bridge. You've got to cross a lane of traffic that wants to go to the right and down into the canyon and go fast enough so that those cars, and the ones that are going onto the bridge like you are, don't hit you. This is great fun at rush hour.
