The match-up that truily delivered!

The Coral-Eclipse has proven a select affair in recent decades and, despite four runners in the latest renewal, the much-anticipated match-up between the three-year-old Paddington - the fast-improving Classic scorer and Royal Ascot winner - against the high-class four-year0old filly and Grade One winner Emily Upjohn came to fruition in a thrilling climax to the first clash of the generations of the 2023 Flat season.

West Wind Blows made the running under Jamie Spencer as the field raced in single file towards the end of the back straight but Paddington travelled up powerfully a few furlongs from home before the Siyouni colt was joined by Emily Upjohn, with the duo givig generously on the uphill climb to the line ina thrilling finish in which both horses came away with their reputations enhanced.

Relive a superb horse race and enjoy the post-race interviews with winning jockey Aidan O'Brien and winning rider Ryan Moore after yet more top-level success. And just how far can Paddington continue to climb - and where will he ultimately rank in the Ballydoyle pantheon?
