The 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid might just be the best large SUV money can buy. It's got practicality and safety mostly covered for families, while its self-charging petrol-electric powertrain delivers performance and efficiency in equal measure.

We came away from the Santa Fe Hybrid's media launch very impressed, but CarsGuide News Editor Tung Nguyen and his family of four have now spent three months with its penultimate Elite variant to see just how well it stacks up over a long period of time.

Needless to say, while the Kia Sorento PHEV and Toyota Kluger Hybrid may provide stiff competition, among others, the Santa Fe Hybrid is an all-rounder that truly deserves the high praise it's received to date.
