If this is the first teardown you are finding, there are over 20 others I've done! Lots of LS's, A viper engine, rx8 rotary, and a couple SRT8 Hemi's to name a few. Check them out here    • Blown Up Engine Tear Downs! A collect...
My name is Eric and I own and run a full service auto salvage business called Importapart located in the Saint Louis MO area. Part of our model is dismantling and selling parts from rare and niche market engines. If you're interested in buying parts from other engines I've torn down, email us at [email protected].

In this video, I completely teardown a 2UZ-FE 4.7L V8 from a 2000 Lexus LX470. This engine is the same as 98-02 Land Cruiser, LX470, and 2000-2004 Toyota Tundra and Sequoia. This engine is actually from a parts vehicle we bought from a tow lot with no keys. We did a compression test which revealed two low cylinders. At that point, we knew we would not be selling the engine complete. Join me as I tear into this 2UZ and find out why it had low compression!

As always, I love all of the feedback, comments, questions and even the criticism.
Catch you on the next one!
