This is a section of a new trail being built at Martin Hill ATV trail. Located in the lower section of Rattlesnake. The new trail/logging area appears to intersect a section of the old trail. They now divert you off of the old trail onto this new trail. The new trail continues on for a LONG distance over the mountain (if you continue on it, it might make a nice loop around to Oak Trail, should they ever open that up to ATVs. That would make a nice addition! But currently, the signs divert you back onto the old trail after a short time, despite the new trail continuing. We assume that this is a logging road put in for the timber harvesting they are doing BUT I certainly hope they continue to keep this trail open and/or expand some new trails in this system.
