During his presidency, Kagame has achieved 8% GDP growth, lifted more than one million citizens out of poverty and Rwanda became the sixth most easiest place to start a business in Africa. The revenues from tourism increased five times and the rates of maternal mortality rate death dropped by 55%.

President Kagame succeeded in achieving the second Millenium Development Goal related to Universal Primary education, the secondary enrollment increased more than double within six years.

Furthermore, the representation of women in the Parliament went up to 64%. The president was also able to ban the manufacturing, use and importing of plastic bags while laying 2,229 km of fiber optic cable. During his presidency, households having access to electricity increased by 400% and mobile penetration went up from 6% in 2013 to 63% today.
