Late last night into today we got some snowfall from a low pressure system that originated from the Southeast U.S. and traveled through the Mid-Atlantic. As opposed to the snowstorm we got earlier on in the month, the snow was light and powdery this time, because temperatures through the atmosphere were very cold, not getting out of the 20s at the surface, however we did start to see some freezing rain and sleet mix in towards the tail end of the precipitation due to some dry mid-levels mixing in. This caused some of the snowfall to become pretty icy. I measured about 1.75-2 inches of snow on pavement, however I'm not sure if we got a little more than that officially because I didn't measure on any grassy areas. Nevertheless, I'll take any snow I can get.
