Narrated by Abu Hurairah: from Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2646, Book 41, Hadith 2 : The Virtue Of Seeking Knowledge

[that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him."]

As a rule of thumb, any hadith which contradicts the Qur’an should be considered null and void.

Only the Qur'an is the absolute authentic text which has remained intact throughout.

Al Qur’an is the word of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى and Hadiths are just for our reference.

May we receive mercy from Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala and also receive guidance to gather sufficient supplies so that we are safe and comfortable in Mahsyar facing Allah SWT being entered into heaven by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala without reckoning and also punishment.

** Please also do your own research and pray that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala will guide us on the right path and not stray away from it. **

Surah mentioned :

- Surah al Mu’minun 23, verse 99 - 100 :

[ When death approaches any of them (those who join partners with Allah), they cry, “My Lord! Let me go back, so I may do good in what I left behind.” Never! It is only a (useless) appeal they make. And there is a barrier behind them until the Day they are resurrected. ]

- Surah Luqman 31, verse 34 :

[ No soul knows what it will earn for tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. ]

- Surah Al Waqi’ah 56, verse 83 to 85 :

[ Why then (are you helpless) when the soul (of a dying person) reaches (their) throat, while you are looking on? And We (Our Angels) are nearer to such a person than you, but you cannot see. ]

- Surah Yunus 10, verse 90 - 91 :

[ We brought the Children of Israel across the sea. Then Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them unjustly and oppressively. But as Pharaoh was drowning, he cried out, “I believe that there is no god except that in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am (now) one of those who submit.” ]

- Surah Al Mutaffifin 83, verse 19 - 21 :

[ and what will make you realise what ’Illiyûn is?— a fate (already) sealed, witnessed by those nearest (to Allah). ]

Hadith mentioned :

- Sahih Muslim 2684a : Book 48, Hadith 18
Chapter: Whoever Loves To Meet Allah, Allah Loves To Meet Him, And Whoever Hates To Meet Allah, Allah Hates To Meet Him

‘Aa'ishah RadhiAllahu anha reported that Allah's Messenger Sallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam said : He who loves to meet Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, Allah loves to meet him, and he who dislikes to meet Allah, Allah abhors to meet him. I ('Aa'ishah) said : Allah's Apostle, so far as the feeling of aversion against death is concerned, we all have this feeling. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: It is not that (which you construe), but (this) that when a believer (at the time of death) is given the glad tidings of the mercy of Allah, His Pleasure, and of Paradise, he loves to meet Allah, and Allah also loves to meet him, and when an unbeliever is given the news of the torment at the Hand of Allah, and Hardship to be imposed by Him, he dislikes to meet Allah and Allah also abhors to meet him.

- Sahih al-Bukhari 4449 : Book 64, Hadith 469
Chapter: The sickness of the Prophet (saws) and his death

Narrated ‘Aa’ishah RadhiAllahu anha : In front of him there was a jug or a tin, (The sub-narrator, `Umar is in doubt as to which was right) containing water. Our Prophet Sallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam started dipping his hand in the water and rubbing his face with it, he said, "None has the right to be worshipped except Allah. Death has its agonies." He then lifted his hands (towards the sky) and started saying, "With the highest companion," till he expired and his hand dropped down.

- Sahih Muslim 2033d : Book 36, Hadith 177
Chapter: It is recommended to lick one's fingers and wipe the bowl, and to eat a piece of food that is dropped after removing any dirt on it. It is disliked to wipe one's hand before licking it, because of the possibility that the blessing of the food may be in that remaining part. The Sunnah is to eat with three fingers

Jabir RadhiAllahu anhu reported : I heard Allah's Messenger Sallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam as saying: The Satan is present with any one of you in everything he does; he is present even when he eats food; so if any one of you drops a mouthful he should remove away anything filthy on it and eat it and not leave for the devil; and when he finishes (food) he should lick his fingers, for he does not know in what portion of his food the blessing lies.
