Hi, I’m Bill Selak, and when I grew up, I wanted to be a lot of things:
I wanted to be a musician and record my own music.
I wanted to be a photographer, and share my photos with the world.
I wanted to make my own movies and TV shows.
I even briefly wanted to put on my own punk rock festival.

And then I realized, with my job as Director of Technology, I get to do all those things.

And here’s the really cool part:
I get to create learning opportunities so that our students can do all those things.
record music,
take photos,
work on movies,
livestream school events,
And publish collaborative books.

And the really incredible part is that it’s all possible on an iPad.

And as for the punk rock shows, I found my own take on that…
I helped put on a media literacy conference with NAMLE,
the National Association of Media Literacy Education.
If that’s not punk rock, I don’t know what is.
