The 2023 Steve McQueen Car & Motorcycle Show is way more than just a car show! While the origins were dominated by old Porsches and Mustangs linked to McQueen's career, the best of many genres has grown into a wide field of entries.

New Porsches and Mustangs. All brands of classics and collectibles. Volkswagens. Dune buggies. Customs. Race cars. Dragsters. Funny Cars. Drag boats. Vintage travel trailers. Vintage airplanes. Military equipment display. Monster trucks. Vintage farm implements. Tractors. Police cars. Rescue units. Ummm, Motorcycles.

They should just call it The McQueen Machine Show.

With support for the incredible Boys Republic as a draw, it is not too hard to attract top-shelf people and goods to entertain and wow the ever-larger crowds. Always the crowd favorite - nitro engine blasts were back on at the McQueen show for '23.

Ron Meer (Ron Meer Motorsports) seems to know where to find a whole bunch of these cars, with owners and race teams willing to make the big effort for the BR. Ron gives a rundown of the field of dragsters, funny cars and boats about to blow up the ear drums - including:

Jason Rupert - NHRA 11,000 HP Funny Car
Shirley Muldowney - dragster
Brissette & Drake - dragster
Nash Metro - Funny Car
Don Hampton - front motor top fuel car
Fighting Irish - Funny Car
Smoke on the Water - drag boat

Large crowds gather like moths in a ring around the ear blast zone. Some new to the sport find out what happens of the air pressure in their ear canal if they venture too far inside the ring. Come with ear plugs folks!
