Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: I am leaving you with something If you hold tight to then you will never ever go astray… He (ﷺ) said: كِتَابَ اللَّهِ The Book of Allah

It is the food for our soul:

- If we cut our connection with the Quran, we cut the main source of spiritual supply, then we will be dead
The example of the one who mentions their Lord and the one who does not mention is like the example of the one who is alive and the one who is dead. [Al-Bukhari]

- And had we connect with the Quran then check what the prophet (ﷺ) said:
o Hadith: ‏"‏ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ أَهْلِينَ مِنَ النَّاسِ ‏"‏ Allah has a group which He is so close to, which He has special love for.
 So the companions asked: “O messenger of Allah, who are they?” He (ﷺ) said: They are “أَهْلُ الْقُرْآنِ أَهْلُ اللَّهِ وَخَاصَّتُهُ” they are the people of the Quran they are the ones whom Allah is the closest to and loves them the most. [Ibn Majah]

If you & I truly want to be people of the Quran and hold tight to it as advised by the prophet (ﷺ) then we are to connect with the Quran through the following 5 ways:

1st Through listening and reading the Quran:

Let there be a share of your time where you read the Quran
Not meant to be hung onto the walls for decoration
By Allah, if you and I took the Quran more and more seriously the more and more our life will improve and the more this ummah will go back to its days of glory
Yes, it can be a struggle but indeed it is the noblest of struggles, the most rewarding of struggles.
Hadith: the prophet (ﷺ) said: the one who reads the Quran and struggles in the recitation and is difficult on him gets 2 rewards (i.e. the reward of the recitation and reward for experiencing the struggle and difficulty) [Muslim]

2nd Through contemplating and understanding its meanings:

Example: We have been reading Surat Al-Fatiha for some time and Surat اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ - 112:2 but hardly know what it means…

Statement: Ibn Mas’ood, one of the grand companions advised: When you hear Allah saying (i.e. in The Quran): “يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا” (O you who believe) then pay close attention because what will follow is a good thing which you should do or a bad thing which you should stay away from.

3rd, acting upon what Allah says in the Quran:

You read a verse that says…
Do not backbite one another, so you avoid speaking ill about your brother & sister

You read a verse that says…
O believers! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and do not let your deeds be in vain… so you obey what the prophet (ﷺ) and what he said… respect the authentic narrations and abide by them…

4th Using the Quran as a book of law to resolve problems and disputes:

And in anything over which you disagree - its ruling is [to be referred] to Allah

Do you believe in some of the Scripture and reject the rest? Is there any reward for those who do so among you other than disgrace in this worldly life and being subjected to the harshest punishment on the Day of Judgment? For Allah is never unaware of what you do.

5th Using the Quran as means of cure:

Not just medicine and cure for the soul but medicine and cure to the illnesses of the body

Allah says:
We send down the Quran as a healing and mercy for the believers

Conclusion:

What is your plan with the Quran? Especially in the upcoming Ramadan?
Share your thoughts with others. And if you are watching feel free to mention what your plans are, perhaps people would benefit. May Allah bless you all.
