Greg Land is a popular artist who has worked on some of Marvel's top titles like X-Men and Iron Man. But does successful equal talented? That's up to individual readers. I'm not a big fan of his artwork and in this video I argue that his work has actually gone downhill over the course of his career. I acknowledge that his use of photo reference can result in very good looking panels but that there are systemic storytelling problems in his artwork that result from this reliance on reference.
