James describes different kinds of faith. There is a dead faith, which makes a profession but has no fruit. There is a demonic faith that affects the emotions but doesn't bring about change. Then, there is a dynamic (saving) faith that affects not only the mind and the emotions, but the will! Some mistakenly think that James is contradicting Paul's doctrine concerning justification by faith. In our study, we will see there are no contradictions whatsoever.
