In this video, I’m giving you my full review of the Braun Series 9 Foil Shaver, Model 9290cc.

The Series 9 is Braun’s most advanced shaver, shaving more hair in one stroke than any other premium shaver. Braun touts this Series 9 trimmer as providing the world’s most efficient shave and being exceptionally gentle on your face.

For those that shave their beard every one to three days, the electric foil shaver and precision trimmer are the perfect combination to get the job done quickly and efficiently.

The Braun Series 9 foil shaver is packed with features, starting with its responsive intelligence that works with the unique features of your face to deliver the best shave possible. An advanced processing chip lies at the heart of the Series 9, analyzing beard density and selecting precise power to trim and shave effectively.

At first sight, the foil shaver head and its 5 synchronized shaving elements radiate from the Braun Series 9. Composing these elements are two central trimmers, two ultra-thin opti-foils, and a dedicated skin guard for shaving hair smoothly. These independent flexible cutting elements sit upon a 10-D pivoting head, creating optimal skin contact for a thorough shave.
Furthermore, a multi-head lock built into the Braun Series 9 allows you to lock the position of the shaver head into 5 unique positions. This is most beneficial when working in those tight beard areas, such as under the nose on the lip or along the jawline.

For total beard control, a precision trimmer hides discretely tucked away, ready to take care of longer hairs and finishing touches. The Series 9 Braun can be used to shave wet, dry, or with foam or gel for a flawless shave.
One of the best features of this Series 9 shaver is its ability to sense when the foil shaver head is in need of cleaning. Looking at the LED display, a water drop indicator illuminates when the trimmer is in need of a wash in the Clean & Charge station. Simply place the Braun Series 9 into the station and the Clean & Charge automatically selects the appropriate cleaning level for your electric shaver.
As far as charging capability, the Braun Series 9 Foil Shaver takes 60 minutes to charge for 50 minutes of use. This trimmer also has a 5 minute quick charge, good for one shave. Additionally, the Series 9 cannot be used plugged in, as the device is fully waterproof and intended for use in water up to 5 meters.

At a price right around $250 on Amazon, this Braun Series 9 shaver is expensive. That said, it stands up to its claims and works great. This trimmer is efficient, gentle, and feature rich. It provides a super smooth feel and was an enjoyable shave.

Overall, with the innovative responsive technology built into the Braun Series 9, you understand the need for the high price. If the Series 9 is within budget, definitely check it out. But for those on a budget, check out my video on the Remington F5-5800. It’s not as feature heavy as this Braun foil shaver, but it will get the job done at a much cheaper price.
