1973 Bosnia-Herzegovina Sarajevo, rare footage from the 1970s. Filmed when the Japanese went on a trip. Old streets and beautiful women. Old cars and trams. Mercedes Benz. The city where the Winter Olympics were held in the past. There are still trams running today, but the design is different. The retro cityscape is very beautiful.Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 1939, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia created the Croatian Autonomous Region (Serbo-Croatian version, English version), but the uprising of Zagreb by Ustaše on April 1, 1941 issued the declaration of the establishment of the Independent State of Croatia (1941–1945). The territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Sarajevo, was incorporated into the territory of the Independent State of Croatia. On April 8, 1941, Nazi Germany invaded Yugoslavia and bombed Sarajevo. At this time, about 10,500 Jews, as well as Roma and Orthodox Serbs, were inhabited. On April 6, 1945, Sarajevo was released from the Nazi occupation by resistance by the partisans led by Josip Broz Tito. Since then, Sarajevo has developed rapidly and has become a regional industrial hub in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. As part of the General Urban Development Plan of 1945, the western part of Sarajevo was developed into a modern town plot, expanding the city of Sarajevo. Sarajevo's growth peaked in the early 1980s when the Winter Olympics were held in Sarajevo.
The siege of Sarajevo in the Bosnian-Herzegovina conflict was the longest-running urban siege of modern warfare. The siege was the Republika Srpska Army (VRS) of the Serbian forces (Republika Srpska) and the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), which lasted from April 5, 1992 to February 29, 1996. The Bosnia-Herzegovina Conflict is a civil war that lasted from 1992 to 1995 in Bosnia-Herzegovina, which became independent of Yugoslavia, and is also called the Bosnian Conflict.

About World Vintage Films

I'm doing a Youtube video of footage taken from the 1910s to the 1980s.
The footage is original and was filmed by my family and my friends while they were traveling.
That's why most of the footage was shot in Japan.

The first step in the editing process is to convert the video from analog to digital. Then I remove the unnecessary parts and add the original music and subtitles. We don't want to hide the footage, so we don't have many subtitles.
Black and white footage may be converted to color.

International and domestic travel around the world, before, during and after the war.
We have over 10,000 films that have not yet been released to the public. We will continue to edit and distribute a few more in the future.

There is a lot of valuable footage. Especially rare are old footage from less developed countries. At that time, the equipment for filming was rare. Pre-war footage of Japan is also valuable. Old cars and trains. There is also footage of airplanes shot from the sky. Towns and markets, and people. And people. Famous tourist spots and natural scenery. The fashion sense is also interesting and different from today. Enjoy the scenery in the old style.

Mostly on 8mm, 16mm, 9.5mm, 35mm, etc. Newer types of video, such as VHS, are not covered.
