This video explains how to change the propane tank on a propane powered forklift

*Please note before you begin to detach the hose from the forklift turn the Tank knob into the OFF position.

*Once you reach a certain point it is common that some residual propane gas will leak out (in drips) or spray out rapidly. Always make sure to wear Proper PPE ( Personal Protective Equipment)

Examples of PPE include such items as gloves, foot and eye protection, protective hearing devices (earplugs, muffs) hard hats, respirators and full body suits. Know the basics of conducting a “hazard assessment” of the workplace.

*Once you connect the hose back to the forklift make sure to turn the knob into the ON position. Doing this allows the propane to flow back into the forklift so you can start it.
Please make sure the connector for the hose is aligned straight and not cross threaded or lose. If the connector is loose once you turn it on it can possibly leak or spray out, getting the propane onto your skin or eyes will burn. Seek medical attention right away.
