Wanting to add bass to some of my recent speaker builds, I decided a DIY Subwoofer build was going to be the way to go. I wanted something that would be contemporary and relatively cheap (under $100) to build. An 8” GRS Subwoofer was used and this speaker is ideal for a sealed unit. And to complete the looks I decided that I wanted it to be down firing. Built with connectivity in mind so that I could use it as a standalone sub or as part of a 2.1 system. (link below).
