This is a quick how to replace an HWH jack on your RV. The jack i replaced was a kick jack - RAP7164. The original model number was an AP12447. I live in Midcoast Maine and it is time consuming to get any type of work done on an RV. It usually involves someone following you in a vehicle to drop your RV off. The closest place is about 1 hour and 15 minutes. So you end up investing about 5 hours for any repair. For this reason i opted to try this repair myself. The key is having the right tools, wear some goggles, and safety always. ***** disclaimer - be very careful when taking this jack off. it weighs ~28 pounds and can hurt if you aren't careful. also - do not have the jack extended while you are disconnecting it. ************
Big thank you to Chuck at Stuarts for the tips!
