In 2027, Rivian will introduce the newest addition to its SUV lineup, consisting of two variants: the base R3 and the off-road-focused R3X. Built on a fresh platform, both models feature compact crossover dimensions, sleek bodywork, and Rivian's distinctive front fascia. At the rear, the R3 showcases a unique boxy design with a sizable rear window reminiscent of the 1980s VW Golf wagon. The taillights are integrated into a substantial full-width lightbar. Additionally, the vehicle sports a rear roof spoiler, short overhangs, and wide-set wheels.
