In this video I talk about why the C8 Chevrolet Corvette is something special. The C8, or eight generation, of the Chevrolet Corvette plays a unicorn role in Corvette history because it is the first Corvette that is configured in a mid engine layout. Chevrolet have been trying to apply the mid engine layout in the Corvette for over 60 years, but for several reasons, was not able to until the C8 generation.

The C8 Chevrolet Corvette has a edgy exterior design that is a revolution/evolution of the Corvette's design. Even though the engine location has moved to the back, in my opinion, the C8 generation still looks like a Corvette. This specific C8 Corvette is painted in Accelerate Yellow and looks fantastic. Originally i wasn't a big fan of this color, however, after seeing it in person, i believe it looks great.

The interior of the C8 Corvette has continues to improve much like the jump from the C6 to the C7. The Corvette interior has fine looking and feeling materials with real leather, metal pieces, and good fitment. The interior is driver focused, so the passenger can feel a little ergonomic uneasiness because of that. But overall, the interior of the mid engine Corvette is a vast improve over the C7 and is a nice place to be.

Because of all these changes, does it still feel like a Corvette? Moving the engine to the rear does make a big difference along with all the new age technology makes it a difficult question to answer. Check out the video for my thoughts.
