A tired man named Charlie works a monotonous night shift with a huge copying task. Frustrated and sleep-deprived, he kicks the copier, which inexplicably creates a black hole on a print. Charlie's hand enters the hole, retrieving his coffee cup. He discovers the hole's unusual abilities and contemplates how to use it to his advantage.
