MAGMA Fluidic, the second of the MAGMA aircraft, has performed controlled flight without the use of external moving parts, a breakthrough in aviation technology. A team at the University of Manchester has designed and built the aircraft in partnership with BAE Systems which uses circulation control and fluidic thrust vectoring to control in pitch and roll.
