The I.S.O. (In Search Of) series chronicles stories of New York City with video captured by Mauro Brattoli and edited by Marilyn Salaway.

This episode is about the NYPD's elite Mounted Unit, which is part of the Special Operations Bureau. The unit has four troops.

Brattoli visited the unit's headquarters and Troop B on West 53rd Street in Manhattan and Troop D at Huntington Estate, Pelham Bay Park. Troop D is home to the Remount School, where horses and members of the department undergo training.

Troop F is in Queens and Troop E is in Brooklyn. Staten Island does not have a troop, but the unit can and does trailer horses to wherever needed.
