There is a singular experience that is mentioned in various ways in most mystical and spiritual traditions. Attempts to describe it use words such as "ineffable," "emptiness," and "silence." Defining characteristics of this state are that it is immediate, profound, and life-changing. It is the all-pervading background for both everyday moments of life and the deepest spiritual experience. It is not found by seeking; cannot be bought or sold; nor given or taken; but completely available when we experience that moment of realization and recognize the value of "no-thing."
