Visit: https://myrgroup.com/electrical-const... MYR Group subsidiary, Sturgeon Electric successfully completed work on the 60-mile, Harry Allen – El Dorado 500kV project in Clark County, Nevada. The line traverses Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Bureau of Reclamation property and connects NV Energy’s Harry Allen substation with the Eldorado substation, operated by Southern California Edison. For 17 miles, the conductor was attached to the vacant side of an existing 500kV line.

The scope of work included building all roads, landings, and pads, pouring foundations, installing anchors, and assembling several lattice towers along with pulling triple bundle wire over multiple crossings in a very crowded corridor. In addition, Sturgeon Electric removed all vegetation, putting protected plants in ROW nurseries, and transplanting them back during restoration.
