After having read quite a few threads on these coilovers, and talking to an online friend and him showing me pictures of his bearing explaining that his clunk appeared and then disappeared when he changed his bearing.

I decided to change my bearing before it became a problem. Total cost 30$ for two bearings and a little time.

You need to remove the top mount from your coilover, it's just held in with one nut. This repair only works on PILLOWBALL topmounts.
