What do running a marathon and starting a business have in common? Simple. They both require having a goal, setting up a plan, and committing to it, as well as a great deal of determination, flexibility, and passion. Rositsa will share her physical and mental journey of taking up running by drawing multiple connections to her career path and recounting the ways in which the activity affected her life and character. Rositsa Zaimova is the perfect embodiment of an entrepreneur: she’s constantly working on cross-border learning and data innovations. She co-founded Dalberg Data Insights, a data analytics company which aims to provide real-time insights that create social and economic value for data-poor countries. Through her work, Rositsa has led the development of data products and platforms throughout Africa, Asia, and South America, and now splits her time between Belgium and Uganda. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
