You can do your own Circle Tour if you want to. If you have a rental car, or a local friend, make an overview drive around part of the island. It's hard to get lost when you keep the ocean to the right of you. There are certain landmarks that can be partially seen, just park and admire from the lookouts the beauty of this island. Sometime tourists think that it's the other islands that have the scenic paradise, but get away from the "City" and you will see what others love about Oahu.
Some places I have not included, an example is Hanauma Bay which needs reservations; and parking is tight. So make a half a day there, get your reservations, go early to see through the clear water and see the underwater paradise. Pearl Harbor is iconic, and research it first to make sure you get to visit the Arizona Memorial. Aulani in Kapolei area is a pleasure to visit and anyone can relax at the coves there. Dole Plantation is entertaining, but touristy. Kualoa Farms needs at least half a day. (See my other videos for those spots.)
Polynesian Cultural Center is informative and their night show is very appealing. Another cultural spot is in Waipahu, the Hawaii Plantation Village.
This video focuses mostly on the most eastern side of the island, sorry about that, it was just too beautiful.

CORRECTION: I just noticed that in my directions I mentioned turn right going past Haleiwa. Turn left because turning right would take you into the ocean. Sorry for the mistake.
