In this video, I try out 2 alto saxophone mouthpieces - the SYOS Steve Kortyka model and the SYOS Godwin Louis model, and I compare them to my 2 rubber mouthpieces, the John Thomas Custom and the Meyer 7M NY. What makes these SYOS models unique is that they are 3D printed, so the measurements are able to be very precise and consistent. They allow you to customize mouthpieces on their website to any degree of specifics you want - it's incredible! Usually, I've been wanting to try one of these for several months now. Finally got my hands on them! My favorite part about them is that they are colorful. Usually, when someone walks into a room with any colorful gear on their saxophone setup, you immediately associate them as noobs. But these mouthpieces are the real deal - professionals are using these everyday! Has anyone even read this far in the description? If so, you are incredible, and a true master of reading.
