In the 6th Century BC, North-Western India was invaded by the Achaemenid Empire. The Persians invasion began with Cyrus the Great, and the Persian rule over the North-West lasted up to the 4th Century BC. The Indian subjects of the Achaemenid Empire took part in the Greco-Persian War. The Armies of Darius I and Xerxes had an Indian contingent. In this video, I talk about the history of the Persian invasion and the Persian rule over some parts of Indian, which lasted from the 6th Century BC to the 4th Century BC.
