1989 was a great year for television. We got long running sitcoms like Family Matters, Seinfeld and The Simpsons; a little bit of drama from Baywatch; some late-night talk with The Arsenio Hall Show and a slice of reality from COPS. It was also the year that one of the greatest American television programming blocks debuted. ABC’s TGIF, coming from the initials of the popular phrase "Thank God It's Friday", mainly featured situation comedies aimed at a family audience. Its original run featured several popular shows including the flagship and the one this video is about, Full House.
