This is a turkey hunting ammo test between the Federal Premium TSS and HEVI-Shot HEVI-18 Turkey TSS. I did a ballistics gel test and a pattern test at 50 yards to determine which one had better pattern density and penetration. Both shotgun shells use #9 Tungsten Super Shot. The Federal TSS was a 3" shell at 1200fps with 1.75 oz of TSS shot. The HEVI-18 was a 3" shells at 1250 fps with 2 oz of TSS shot. This TSS turkey hunting ammo review and test was done with my Mossberg 940 Pro Turkey using a Holosun 507k red dot and a Carlson's Heavyweight TSS Choke tube with a 0.640 constriction.

I did this test at a certified shooting range with good ear protection and eye protection and followed all appropriate safety protocols.
