Atlanta's Center for Diversion & Services

 Published On Apr 20, 2023

In March, Mayor Andre Dickens announced the groundbreaking of Atlanta's Center for Diversion and Services. The Center will be a 24/7 service to provide an alternative to jail for those experiencing poverty, substance use or concerns related to mental health. It will target the systemic issues that lead people to engage in criminal activity and will provide resources such as showers, legal assistance, behavioral health screenings and other supportive care.

The facility will open in 2024 in Downtown Atlanta.

This new Center is part of Mayor Dickens' One Safe City plan, a balanced approach to public safety that includes both policing and non-policing methods to keep our communities safe. Learn more: https://www.OneSafeCity.com
