The Flash is a popular show currently running on the CW with Grant Gustin starring as the role of Barry Allen a.k.a. the Flash, and John Wesley Shipp as his father Henry Allen. It is well known that actor John Wesley Shipp previously played Barry Allen a.k.a. the Flash on another TV show which lasted one season of 1990 through 1991. If you like the current show but have never seen the older one, this video aims to tell you everything you’d want to know about the original show all in under nine minutes.

Also, although I don’t want to write any spoilers of what happens in Season 2 of the current Flash show, I’ll just say that if you’re fan of the character Jay Garrick (the Golden Age Flash) then this video should appeal to you. If you're at all interested in Jay Garrick's role on the current show, the info of this video is relevant... Plus which, some of the info in this video is very relevant to what we see in CW's crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths - where his character is called the Earth 90 Flash... I've also read that actor John Wesley Shipp will play Jay Garrick on an upcoming episode of Stargirl.

The 1990 show's cast also included Amanda Pays as Christina McGee, Alex Désert as Julio Mendez, Vito D'Ambrosio as Officer Tony Bellows, Biff Manard as Officer Michael Murphy, Mike Genovese as Lt. Warren Garfield, Richard Belzer as Joe Kline, Dick Miller as Fosnight, Gloria Reuben as Sabrina, Priscilla Pointer as Nora Allen, Joyce Hyser as Megan Lockhart, Mark Hamill as James Jesse a.k.a. the Trickster, Michael Nader as Nicholas Pike, and M. Emmet Walsh as Henry Allen. The show's main producers were Danny Bilson and Paul De Meo. This show had an appearance from Captain Cold, and even a reference to Hawkman.
