We're pleased to present the first episode of the #HLF23 Vlog! It's a special year as the Heidelberg Laureate Forum celebrates its 10th anniversary. We start the celebrations with Rafael Lang, Chair of the Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation, Robert Endre Tarjan, recipient of the ACM A.M. Turing Award and the Nevanlinna Prize, who has been part of the HLF since the very beginning. We also talk to mathematician Ingrid Daubechies, who tells us about the importance of community and inclusion.

In the Vlog, Marianne Freiberger and Rachel Thomas, editors of https://plus.maths.org/, guide you through the days during the HLF, talking to participants and giving you a glimpse behind the scenes.

The 10th Heidelberg Laureate Forum took place from September 24–29, 2023. #HLF23

The Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) is an annual networking conference where 200 carefully selected young researchers in mathematics and computer science spend a week interacting with the laureates of the most prestigious awards in their disciplines: the Abel Prize, ACM A.M. Turing Award, ACM Prize in Computing, Fields Medal, IMU Abacus Medal and Nevanlinna Prize. The opinions expressed in the videos do not necessarily reflect the views of the Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation or any other person or associated institution involved in the making and distribution of these videos.
