In the video, Black Folks Camp Too invites young friends to Lumber River State Park, where we explore the park's natural beauty and recreational opportunities. The journey takes us fishing in the river, and teaches us about different types of fish found in the area, as well as the proper techniques for catching them. We also go canoeing on the river, learning about the importance of water safety and how to navigate the river's currents. After a day of outdoor activities, we gather around the campfire to share stories and have a conversation about our experiences and the gift of enjoying the present moment. Throughout the video, we encourage viewers to explore the outdoors and connect with nature, highlighting the many recreational opportunities and peaceful moments available at Lumber River State Park.

Located in Columbus, Robeson, Scotland, and Hoke counties 60 miles south of Fayetteville, Lumber River State Park has two access areas located about 1 hour from each other: Princess Ann and Chalk Banks. The possibilities for paddling on this 115-mile river are extraordinary. An abundance of wildlife and plant life, including the belted kingfisher and the rare Carolina bogmint, helped Lumber River earn federal designation as a National Wild and Scenic River, the only blackwater river in the state to have that honor.
