In a surprise overnight move, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the CDC, overruled her own agency by greenlighting a third dose of Pfizer’s vaccine for a much larger group than recommended. The shot is now approved for at-risk workers such as doctors, nurses and teachers, not just the sick and vulnerable. NBC’s Miguel Almaguer reports for TODAY.
