Owning a classic pickup certainly has its uses, as was demonstrated recently when the "youthful assistant" phoned me up, having failed to proceed while out on his bicycle. I dashed (!) to the garage, fired up the mighty six-cylinder flathead engine of the 1947 Dodge WC pickup, and a rescue mission was put into action that International Rescue would have been proud of. Well ...
I don't need much encouragement to give the old pickup truck a run out, plus the weather was very agreeable and just perfect for a rumble down the road to go and pick him up in style.
